  Term “heroin chic” has been popular in 90s in the world of fashion. It describe person who is tall, very thin, has pale skin and dark circles under eyes. It appeared after death from overdosed of famous fashion photographer. He was photographing very thin models. In this time heroin and other opioids was a huge problem.  Gia Carangi was very popular this time supermodel. She was heroin user and she was also an icon of heroin chic. It shows what lifestyle was promoted that time. This month New York Post published article with headline: “Bye-bye booty: Heroin chic is back”. People are shocked that today someone is still promoting this kind of lifestyle and they are saying: “our bodies are not trends!” I’m glad that society has opened their eyes and nowadays "body positive" movement is promote.   Molong is a rural town in Australia. Few days ago rain and storms caused huge damage to this city. Size of flood was compared to the ocean.   Flood destroyed people’s houses, business, cars. Almost everything. People got trapped in their homes. Some of them started to panic. Owner of the hotel said that this is miracle that no one got killed. But almost every inhabitant of this city is suffering because of this natural disaster. Similar flood happened there in 2005. Citizens are saying that calamity this year is even worse and they are scared if they could handle this again. All natural disasters shows us how helpless people are and huge power of nature. All you have to do to take part in it is register in DiscoverEu and anwser few questions. You can join alone or with group up to five people. This year edition in finished. Last holidays i join to my friend’s interrail trip and we were travelling around the Europe for one month. They had this pass, I was buying all tickets for my own.   The European Union is union between 27 countries. It population is around 447 milion of people.  The main purpose of UE is to unite all this people. To promote peace and offer freedom, security and justice to each citizen. Union care also for the environment in its area and beyond. It look after equality between men and women, rights of children and human rights. It encourage to technological and scientific development. Anthem of European Union is “Ode to Joy” composed by Ludwig Van Beethoven. Officially there is no lyrics but the message of this Ode is to all human race become brothers.  For me vision of European Union is very emotional. I’m so glad that people create something like this to unite nations.   because of rising prices of electric energy on the world, governments of european countries introduced rules to cut down power consumption. in different countries there are different ideas to manage with this problem. in paris, the lights on eiffel tower is turning off one hour earlier than it used to. authorities are encouraging people to change their behaviours. to use stairs instead of lift. to unplug electric devices rather than leaving them on standby. administration is reducing heating in public buildings by one degree. from 20°C to 19°C. supermarkets are turning off the lights in shops 3 hours earlier. all this new ideas to cut down on using electric energy are simple. this rules are not changing ours life that much but can teach us a lot. show us that there are a lot of unnecessary things that for example use electricity that we can reduce for the environment source:  https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2022/oct/18/what-are-european-countries-doing-to-cut-power-c...

  Patagonia is a brand created in 1973 by Yvon Chouinard. At first the name was different. It was called Chouinard Equipment.   Yvon started his activity by making climbing equipment. He was producing pitons by himself on coal-fired forge (he bought it in junkyard). his first piton was made from old harvester blade so the idea of the brand was visible from the very beginning. Yvon’s friends was using his pitons and he was selling them from the back of his car.  In 1965 he started to cooperate with Tom Frost. Their plan was to redesigned almost every climbing tool. to make them stronger, lighter and more functional.
